The Brief

During the Autumn of 2001 T-Systems was looking for an infrastructure partner who could provide a carrier neutral datacentre environment to host T-Systems’ main UK voice termination switch, transmission network equipment and IP platform. Several factors influenced the decision where to locate the network platform and switches. Key among these were the ability of the datacentre provider to meet T-Systems stringent requirements in terms of service levels, engineering support, physical environment and short timescales for delivery. These factors needed to be backed up with proof of a strong track record in the provision of services to ISPs and carriers.

The result

T-Systems considered a variety of locations before choosing to take a dedicated suite at TelecityGroup.

T-Systems has now been a TelecityGroup customer since October 2001. The installation was completed ahead of schedule by TelecityGroup, enabling the management of T-systems to focus on achieving the other deliverables of their demanding project. The relationship between the two companies has been developed successfully to the extent that T-Systems now operate on a single European framework agreement with TelecityGroup.
